Fiverr has turned to shit

Fiverr has turned to shit is some really serious ways. Back in the day about 2 years ago, when you wanted to post a brief/project, you could quite simply write up what you were looking for and post it. Soon after people would respond and you would go through who you were interested in. Then somewhere down the track that changed and now they message you directly, so if the project is really interesting, you could end up with hundreds of messages in your inbox, a complete fail on Fiverr’s behalf. Today in 2025, the dawn of AI, as much as I love it, its turned Fiverr into a complete piece of shit and now makes it incredibly hard to post a job.

Brief

If I want to look for someone to do a job for me, it doesn’t seem to care for Fiverr on how much money I have spent with the service over the years, they now use AI. You write down what it is you’re looking for and when done, the AI will completely change your job description and write it based on its own merit making the brief sometimes ineligible to read because the AI completely muffed it.

Freelancers

So once the brief has been posted, instead of people messaging you, this time around, you have to do the work and go and invite the freelancers to have a look at your posting making it incredibly hard to even get work for your posting. Fiverr used to be the go to place for freelancers, today for 2025 its gone to shit and I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

Freelancers / Scammers

When you’re looking for freelancers, be careful who you pick, make sure they’ve atleast 500+ reviews and 5 stars, seems today that everyone is trying to use AI to scam you, telling you that they can do the job, only to have an AI try to do the work for you then past it off as there own work or even worse, steal someone else’s script and use the AI to make changes and sell it to you. Don’t get scammed. Fiverr doesn’t seem to be able to handle this properly and since AI has come onboard, even there own AI has a lot of issues.
