Toolkit News 3rd January 2020

Just so you’re aware, gegeek is going through some changes of the next few months:

  • The main website will be taken offline whilst the server is upgraded.
  • The toolkit is currently being upgraded with new tools, be sure if you’ve not done so already to register https://gegeek.com/support this will be required with the new update.
  • The toolkit is slowly being upgraded into the Google Cloud, this is a massive step for the toolkit and more importantly for you the end user, making it even easier for you to update your toolkit. Doing away with the errors that have plagued several users.
  • If you purchase anything from the store, the email address you use will be used to receive emails related to discounted products in our store, you can unsubscribe at any time. On the main website located at the bottom is the option to join the mailing list. If you’re interested in supporting us, please check out the store https://deals.gegeek.com
  • From all the bad/negative emails that have been received in relation to either email advertising for the store or related to donations, the store emails will be cut out completely and the donations will be reduced by 95%, a lot of people (Techs) seem to have a big issue with Jason asking for donations, so he simply wont ask as often.
  • In reflection to the toolkit being upgraded, Jason is working on a launcher which is planned to make it easier to handle your registration details and display your details (Registration information). The layout is pretty basic, but the ideas behind it will grow.
  • This year will be the start of the upgrade to the toolkit 12.0 which will allow the toolkit to move in a completely new direction and away from the open source and more importantly really asking the community what they like and dislike about the toolkit usage (Not the Google Auth etc) and what options etc they think would be beneficial for the toolkit, so hopefully when a very low class version is available, people can get to test a toolkit based not only on Jason’s dreams but also in the direction from the end user.
  • At present we as a country in Australia are going through some tough times with the fires, Jason wanted to mention that even though he isn’t around or online that he is thinking about everyone. The fires are our main priority, please don’t send us donations, send the funds to the red cross or your local fire service.
  • At present there are 9 users whom have applied for a license. We will send out the licenses soon, we will also upgrade your license with the ability to install onto more than one machine.
  • The toolkit download is currently offline whilst we make the changes which is why none of the files will download. We do apologise for the inconvenience and we look forward to the new and improved Google Cloud version.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
