Windows 10 1809 Redstone 5 has been released by Microsoft, in a surprise move from Microsoft so early in the game to jump from 1803 to 1809 was a bold move. As a Windows Insider there are certainly a lot of bugs still happening with the current build and as of this post Version 1809 (OS Build 18252.1000) a lot of new features have been released but that also goes with the bugs that follow. I wouldn’t expect the build I am on to last long before moving onto a new build and away from 1809.

Get the Windows 10 October 2018 Update
- Windows 10 will automatically download the October 2018 Update on your eligible device if you have enabled automatic updates in Windows Update settings. When the update is ready, you’ll be asked to pick a time to install it. After it’s installed, your device will be running Windows 10, version 1809.
- Note: If you want to install the update now, select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.

Those whom already have Windows 10 v1809 installed on their computers, will be receiving a new cumulative update called KB4464330. The new Feature Update build comes with this fix already integrated so that the installation does not result in data loss.
